American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) Chief of Historical Services Mike Knapp discusses the story of an American World War I unknown service member discovered near Villers-sur- Fère, France, February 2022. Following consultations with multiple federal and foreign government agencies, ABMC will conduct a full honors military burial ceremony for the service member at the Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, June 7.

ABMC maintains 26 permanent military cemeteries and 32 monuments, memorials, and markers across the world.
