 Baghdad, Iraq - U.S. Air National Guardsman Staff Sgt. William Ferguson (seated) deployed from Casper, Wy., manages aircraft on the international ramp at Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) on June 2, 2007. Staff Sgt. Ferguson is one of the several U.S. Air Force air traffic controllers manning the control tower around the clock to manage the ever increasing load of air traffic coming into BIAP. The Air Force members not only control the 14,000 flights per month currently flying into and out of the airport, but they are also working to improve the infrastructure and technology in the control tower.
