GEN CARDEN: Well, good morning everyone. SEAC Isom thanks for those great comments. On Memorial Day 2026 we gather like we have so many times before – to honor our fallen. American heroes. Men and women from all walks of life, as SEAC Isom mentioned, who gave all of their tomorrows for our today. Memorial Day is a humbling occasion, and it finds many of us struggling to find the right words to honor a sacrifice it is hard to even comprehend. We endeavor to comfort grieving families while simultaneously trying to offer hope for those of us left behind to carry the mantle of freedom. The reality is, those words simply don’t exist. Each year we struggle, and each year words fail us. However, our actions can demonstrate honor to our fallen where mere words fall short. Our actions can offer comfort in some small way to grieving families, and our actions can offer hope to those of us left behind with the gift of life and the responsibility to carry that mantle of freedom forward. We owe so much to those who’ve paid the price for freedom. More than anything, I think we owe it to them to make life count. To never take freedom for granted. Liberty is not freely gained or preserved, it must be continually safeguarded. The 1.325 million heroes that have given their last full measure of devotion over the last 250 plus years have left us a legacy that we must honor and uphold if we hope to remain the most free and prosperous nation on Earth. My challenge for all of us today is never miss an opportunity to work toward making our community and our nation even better. Honor the sacrifice of our fallen by making life count and by making freedom count. May God bless you all, and may God bless the United States of America. Thank you.
