Task Force Guam donates boots to Afghan security guards

Members of the Guam Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 294th Infantry Regiment, Staff Sgt. Erico Santos (left) and Sgt. 1st Class Frank J. Limtiaco, donate Task Force Guam's first batch of boots to Patrick McCafferty, a retired Canadian army warrant officer who helps run an Afghan security company. McCafferty, founder of Operation Walking Tall, sought Guam's assistance and the Soldiers responded with more than 120 pairs of boots.

Tiara Carr, an AH-64 Apache helicopter maintainer with the Missouri Army National Guard's Company C, 1st Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment (Attack Reconnaissance) inspects the tail rotor gear box while performing a 25-hour inspection on an Apache helicopter, Nov. 5, 2013. The 135th Aviation Regiment maintainers immediately perform inspections upon an Apache landing to provide the maximum time to fix any problems on the aircraft since last leaving the ground.
