O’Callaghan is the Ohio National Guard’s first female Army infantry officer in its 232-year history.

In addition to providing care to COVID-19 patients and distributing medical equipment in his role as a Connecticut National Guardsman, Herrera has delivered food to local families in need during the pandemic. Herrera has also helped 30 families in Colombia, his home country.
