Month of the Military Child in April recognizes young family members

Military families and friends joined the Michigan National Guard Family Programs staff and the Easter bunny for an egg hunt at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing, Michigan, on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Secretary of Defense Caspar W. Weinberger in 1986 designated each April as "The Month of the Military Child" as a way to recognize contributions that the military child makes as their parent or parents serve our states and nation.

Defense Department salutes Guard, Reserve Family Readiness Programs
