National Guard Members Continue LA Wildfire Response

U.S. Army Sgt. Bryce Carter, an infantryman with C Company, 1st Battalion, 160th Infantry Regiment, California Army National Guard, sharpens the blade of a hoe to clear brush and other debris as part of remediation efforts along the Mulholland Trail near Tarzana, California, in the aftermath of the Palisades Fire, Jan. 18, 2025. Carter and other members of his unit were assisting CALFIRE in mop-up efforts, which included clearing brush and backfilling firebreaks and other areas to prevent mudslides and reduce the impact of firefighting efforts.

9th Annual LEGO Brick by Brick Event preview

Norfolk, Virginia (November 26, 2019). A short video using stock and archived footage which provides a preview of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum’s 9th Annual LEGO Brick by Brick Shipbuilding Event. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 1st, 2020 from 10am to 4pm next door to the museum at the Decker Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center, and is entirely free to attend. The event features over 200 plus LEGO ship models of varying difficulty for visitors to build; the models are based on current and historical U.S. Navy warships. Additionally, visitors have the opportunity to enter a LEGO ship model competition using their own LEGO bricks from home or bricks provided at the event to compete for prizes. A huge free play area with LEGOs and Duplos is available for visitors to enjoy, along with crafts, a robotics demonstration and much more.
