U.S. Army Staff Sgt. John Browning from the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit's Action Shooting Team demonstrates just how fast he can shoot a rifle, pistol and shotgun during a multigun match. Just watch how smooth and efficient this Jackson, Georgia native's movements are.

Swift and accurate marksmanship skills only come with countless hours of practice and extreme dedication to the sport. And it's these finely tuned skills that allow the Soldiers from the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit to win several regional and national competitions in the Action Shooting discipline.

Winning competitions is just one element of the unit's overall mission. However, it is the critical piece that supports the other two mission elements: engaging the Armerican people and training the force.

By winning, our Soldiers prove themselves to be experts in their field and demonstrate the ability and professionalism in today's Army. And through those countless competitions, they gain invaluable marksmanship experience that is turned around into training for the force.

Together, this triad of elements ensures that America's Army Soldiers are widely known as experts in the craft of marksmanship and that these skills are passed on to the future generations of the force.
