Package about a mother and son reunited in Afghanistan. Maj. Cindy Lord, commanding Officer of 71 Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Unit and her son, Lance Cpl. James Hill, and infantryman with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. Hill was flown in from southern Helmand province to see his mother's promotion to Major. The two have not seen each other in two years after Hill graduated from Marine basic training. 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment has been deployed to Helmand province, Afghanistan for six months. hill and Lord are from Oklahoma City. Hill is stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Lord is stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Ga. Produced by Cpl. Ned Johnson. This video also available in high definition.
