Marines with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment prepare to execute Blue Chromite 2017 as they board the USS Green Bay (LPD 20) Oct. 27 at White Beach Naval Station, Okinawa, Japan. Blue Chromite is a large-scale amphibious mission rehearsal that draws primarily from III Marine Expeditionary Force and 7th Fleet forces forward deployed to Okinawa. The Marines are forward deployed to 3rd Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program from Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
