U.S. Soldiers and civilians participate in the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) weightlifting competition at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, May 8, 2025. The BOSS program aims to boost morale, welfare and readiness of single soldiers. To support this, the Vicenza BOSS team held a weightlifting competition - deadlift, squat and bench press - that improves warfighting readiness, reduces risk of injury, enhances physical performance and cultivates a stronger sense of community.
