While in the nation's capital in January supporting the presidential inauguration, the Soldiers assisted a Virginia woman injured in a car crash.

The New Jersey Army Guard unit is one of several that continue to support the security mission at the Capitol — made possible by the synchronization efforts involving the National Guard Bureau, the District of Columbia National Guard and Guard units from 11 states.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade conduct a mobilization exercise (MOBEX) during Freedom Shield 2026 at Camp Humphreys, March 16, 2026. The exercise validated the unit’s ability to rapidly mobilize personnel and equipment, including the Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) System, which focuses on defending against Cruise Missiles, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and other aerial systems.
