Since May 2015 Command Sgt. Maj. Sheryl D. Lyon has been a key member of US Army Europe's leadership team as its highest ranking enlisted soldier.

Selected by then European commander LTG. Ben Hodges, Lyon became the first woman to serve as senior enlisted advisor for an Army Service Component Command.

Today after serving in her position for almost 3 years she relinquishes her command in order to move on to her next challenge as Senior Enlisted advisor of Army Cyber Command
