82nd Airborne Division Artillery

Alpha Battery, 2-319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment conducted an emergency occupation live fire hip shoot during the first 82nd Airborne Division Artillery run Readiness Test in a decade. The hip shoot is a fast paced emergency fire mission that the Battery receives while in route to a firing point. Within 11 minutes of receiving the mission, the battery has to pull off into a suitable firing area have the first round heading down range.
