180311-N-ET513-0001 6TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 11, 2018) The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58) accompanies the Spanish Alvara de Bazan frigate ESPS Cristobal Colon and the Greek Elli-class frigate SS Elli (F450) during Dynamic Manta 2018. Dynamic Manta is an annual Multilateral Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) exercise meant to develop interoperability and proficiency in anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare. Laboon, home-ported at Naval Station Norfolk, in is the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners and U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
