Villagers Living In Karabti San, Djibouti, Continued Construction Of A 21 Foot Tall Eco-Dome, A Durable, Low-Cost Shelter Requiring Very Little Maintenance. The Villagers Are Building The Dome To Improve Their Community. Hamdou Mohamed, Karabti San Local And Construction Foreman: “Most People Are Interested In This Dome. Most Of The People Mention That This Place--This Facility--Will Be Used As A Community Clinic Or Community School.” Ssgt Marc Lane Reporting: Soldiers With The 4-90th Civil Affairs Battalion, Assigned To Combined Joint Task Force – Horn Of Africa, Joined The Villagers And Assisted With The Construction By Sharing Various Building Techniques, As Well As Helping With The Work Load. U.S. Army Captain Justin Lev, 4902 Civil Affairs Team Chief: “The Mission Is Really To Bring The Community Together, Give Them A Sense Of Ownership In This Area.
