A U.S. Air Force C-17A Globemaster III aircrew assigned to the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, loads pallets of supplies and conducts an airdrop over an undisclosed location in support of Operation Inherent Resolve Sept. 24, 2018. The primary mission of a C-17A is to provide rapid strategic delivery of troops and various types of cargo to bases throughout the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility.
