I'm Lance Corporal Troy Saunders with your Marine Minute.

Marines with 3rd Marine Division are currently taking part in Exercise Samurai at Kin Blue Training Area in Okinawa, Japan. The exercise helps Marines refine their skills to better support Division operations in an expeditionary environment.

Back in the States,
Marines with the 25th Marine Regiment participated in Exercise Nordic Frost 18 at Camp Ethan Allen in Jericho, Vermont, January, 21st. Nordic Frost helps the Marines to gain a better understanding operating in extreme conditions, preparing them physically and mentally for potential future operations.

Also in the Corps,
The Navy-Marine Corps Medal was presented to the family of Marine Staff Sgt. Enrico Antonio Rojo during a memorial ceremony held at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, January 21st. On December 16th, 2016, Staff Sgt. Rojo was killed while rescuing a car crash victim.
