New York Guard family program says family readiness is key to Guard success

Defense Department launches sexual assault helpline

Dr. Clifford L. Stanley, undersecretary of defense for personnel and 
readiness, Department of Defense, cuts the ribbon, officially announcing the 
DoD Safe Helpline for sexual assault support at the Pentagon April 15, 2011. 
The event followed an award ceremony that recognized the top sexual assault 
response coordinator from each of the active duty services, including National 
Guard member, Senior Master Sgt. Kelly Wilkinson (left), Minnesota National 
Guard.

First Lady, Dr. Biden urge military family support

Wyoming Youth ChalleNGe cadets become college students
April 12, 2011

computer application courses at Eastern Wyoming College, in Torrington,
Wyo., April 5, 2011. Nine of Wyoming’s cadets passed the GED exam and
enrolled in the pilot program for cadets at the college. They are enrolled
in computer application courses, study skill classes and vocational
education.

First Lady, Dr. Biden to launch family-support initiative
April 11, 2011
Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, meets with attendees and
Guard members of the Delaware Air National Guard’s 166th Airlift Wing’s call
to arms ceremony. The 166th is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan and
Southeast Asia to provide logistical and aeromedical evacuation support to
Soldiers and Marines in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn.
