Maj. Gen. Matlock Returns to 1AD

Maj. Gen. Patrick Matlock, commanding general, 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss, and several additional 1AD Soldiers from the Headquarters Battalion and 1AD Sustainment Brigade, returned from a deployment to Afghanistan, June 18. Soldiers were greeted by several senior leaders, including division Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Cobb. 1AD deployed nearly 250 Soldiers to Afghanistan in support of contingency operations last summer.
