1st Infantry Division Celebrates the 75th Anniversary of V-E Day, marking the end of WWII in Europe. The 1st Infantry Division's swift and brave actions helped the U.S. Army and U.S. Allies to Victory in Europe. The Big Red One was relentless from the beginning storming into North Africa, the Beaches of Normandy, the frigid fighting in the Ardennes, and ending with the liberation of Czechoslovakia. The Fighting First was there brave, responsible, and on point.
