LAJES AIR BASE, Portugal - U.S. Air National Guard civil engineers with the 142nd Civil Engineer Squadron measure structural readings during a Deployment for Training at Lajes Air Base, Portugal, June 23, 2026. The deployment provided the Oregon Air National Guard members with essential hands-on experience utilizing specialized engineering equipment and airfield planning software to enhance combat readiness.
