An element from the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion (Assault), 147th Aviation Regiment, 64th Troop Command, helped battle California’s wildfires after arriving in early September 2020. In less than two weeks, two UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter crews dropped more than 5,000 gallons of water in the Creek Fire (Fresno and Madera counties) and SQF Complex Fire (Tulare County).

FRESNO, Calif. - An element from the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion (Assault), 147th Aviation Regiment, 64th Troop Command, helped battle California’s wildfires after arriving in early September 2020.
