Camp Grayling, Michigan - Spc. Darrin Hilts, a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the Michigan Army National Guard's 1073rd Maintenance Company, works the hydraulics of an M984 HEMTT wrecker while preparing to tow a Humvee as part of a training mission during exercise Northern Strike at Camp Grayling, Michigan, July 27, 2020. Hilts and his team were tasked with recovering a disabled Humvee from the field but had to respond to an ambush during the recovery operation. Northern Strike integrates joint operations in a realistic training environment that incorporates service members from throughout the U.S. military and international partners.
