Oriskany, New York - New York Army National Guard Soldiers of the Homeland Response Force for FEMA Region 2 provide decontamination for simulated victims during chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) incident response training at the New York State Preparedness Training Center in Oriskany, N.Y. September 7, 2019. Decontamination team members are assigned to the 642nd Support Battalion and cross-trained for the CBRN response skills needed for decontamination. More than 600 Soldiers and Airmen of the New York and New Jersey National Guard participated in the training to prepare for the task force capabilities to conduct casualty evacuation, decontamination and medical triage under CBRN conditions.
