From Senegal to citizenship, one Guardsman's story

East Hartford, CT - Pvt. Joshua Weah accepts his certificate of naturalization, becoming a U.S. citizen, from U.S. Magistrate Judge William I. Garfinkel following a ceremony at the Brien McMahon Federal Building in Bridgeport, Conn., Dec. 14, 2017. Weah moved to the United States from his native country of Senegal in 2013 and swore into the U.S. Army in April, 2017.
