Syracuse, NY - Eddie Fuquay, at right, a member of the Air Force Active Associate Wing Maintenance and Logistics delegation, discusses infrastructure plans to house new MQ-9 aircraft with group commanders from the New York Air National Guard's 174th Attack Wing on Sept. 12, 2017, at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse, N.Y. The group, including leaders of the active Air Force's 49th Wing, toured the logistic and maintenance squadrons to validate facility requirements, identify shortfalls, and manning requirements for forming an active associate unit. The partnership will see active-duty members serve alongside Air National Guard members at the base to increase aircrew qualification, retention, and career opportunities.
