Edgewood, Maryland - Charles Rose, left, director of the Maryland National Guard’s Freestate ChalleNGe Academy, looks on as Ronny Colindres, right, embraces academy staff members as he accepts his diploma during graduation ceremonies in June 2016 at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore. The Freestate Academy is one of 40 such academies that make up the National Guard's Youth ChalleNGe program, which celebrates its 25th anniversary later this month.
