Massive 1917 parade for New York Guard member

New York, NY - Soldiers of the New York National Guard's 27th Infantry Division march past the reviewing stand on Fifth Avenue during a parade held to mark their departure for training in South Carolina on August 30, 1917. According to the New York Times, it took five hours for the marchers to pass by the dignitaries on the stand, who included former President Theodore Roosevelt.
