U.S. Soldiers competed to earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge in a series of timed events at Camp Arifjan and Camp Beuhring, Kuwait, April 28-30, 2017. Events included:  swimming in uniform, treading water, shuttle sprints from a prone position, track run, flexed arm hang, ruck march and pistol marksmanship. Based on performance, Soldiers could earn the badge in bronze, silver or gold and are entitled to wear the award on their dress uniform.
