BRIGADIER GENERAL ROBERT J. UDLAND
Assistant Adjutant General - Army, North Dakota National Guard
Brigadier General Robert J. Udland currently serves as the Assistant Adjutant General - Army, With additional duties as the Commander, Joint Training and Operations Command (JTOC), North Dakota National Guard. The JTOC provides command and control for the North Dakota Army National Guard's 164th Training Regiment (RTI), the North Dakota Air National Guard's Regional Training Site, and the Camp Grafton Training Center. He has held that position since February 2004. He was promoted to BG on 21 November 2005 and became the Assistant Adjutant General - Army at that time. BG Udland served as the Staff Judge Advocate of the North Dakota Army National Guard from 1998 to 2004. Prior to that, he served as a Judge Advocate with the North Dakota Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve. He also served six years on active duty, two years as an Army Military Police Sergeant and four years as an Army Judge Advocate. He has served in Berlin and Wiesbaden, Germany, at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and at the Presidio of San Francisco. BG Udland is a 1998 graduate of the Army War College.
