BRIGADIER GENERAL JOSEPH B. VEILLON

Brigadier General Joseph B. Veillon is the Assistant Adjutant General for Air in Louisiana. He formulates policy pertaining to the administration and training of over 1,500 Louisiana Air National Guardsmen and causes plans and directives to be issued to assure uniform application and compliance throughout all Louisiana Air National Guard units. Brigadier General Veillon serves as principal advisor to the Adjutant General on matters pertaining to the Louisiana Air National Guard.

General Veillon began his military career with the United States Air Force in 1974. He has served as F-4 Instructor Pilot, F-16 Flight Commander and Instructor Pilot, Tactical Air Command Inspector General Team, Commander of the 122nd Air Support Operations Squadron, 159th Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander, 159th Logistics Group Commander, Vice Commander and Commander 159th Fighter Wing. In 1992 Brigadier General Veillon joined the Louisiana Air National Guard. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General on March 30, 2001.
