Commander, Alabama Troop Command

Major General Wright's military service began in 1966. He was commissioned as an armor officer following Officer Candidate School. Prior to this assignment, Major General Wright served as Deputy Adjutant General, Alabama Army National Guard, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 31st Armored Brigade, Commander, 31st Separate Armored Brigade and Commander, 62nd Troop Command. On 1 March 2004, Major General Wright assumed duties as the Commander, Alabama Troop Command, Joint Forces Headquarters, Montgomery, Alabama. He serves on the Joint Staff for The Adjutant General responsible for all ground forces within the State of Alabama.
