Brig. Gen. Brent Wright was the Chief of Staff, Oklahoma Air National Guard. In this role, he administered and supervised the Oklahoma Air National Guard State Headquarters staff in their support to subordinate units. His leadership and oversight ensured the mission readiness of more than 2,300 personnel in the Oklahoma Air National Guard's two wings and subordinate units who are positioned to support community, state, and federal missions.

Prior to his current General Officer assignments, General Wright was the Vice Commander of the 138th Fighter Wing, Tulsa Air National Guard Base, Oklahoma. As the vice commander, he assisted the wing commander in the organization, training and deployment of the second largest combat-coded Air National Guard fighter wing, consisting of nearly 1,200 Airmen.

He began his career in April 1989 as an Infantryman with the 45th Infantry Brigade. He received a direct commission into the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps. He transferred to the Air Force Judge Advocate's General's Corp and subsequently became a line officer commanding at the group and wing level. He has deployed in support of numerous operations including Northern Watch, Joint Forge, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.
