Commander, 46th Military Police Command

Brigadier General Michael T. White is the Commander, 46th Military Police Command, Michigan Army National Guard. In this capacity, he provides leadership, mission command and strategic priorities in order to ensure effective and efficient accomplishment of the Command's missions. Additionally, General White is responsible for ensuring the Command is a cohesive, effective unit ready and trained to support both combat and domestic operations.

General White was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps in 1982 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Western Carolina University. General White began his career as a platoon leader in the 211th Military Police Company, North Carolina Army National Guard. He has since served in multiple command assignments including Commander of the 211th Military Police Company, Commander of the 210th Military Police Battalion, Deputy Commander of the 46th Military Police Command, Commander of the 177th Military Police Brigade and the Land Component Commander for the Michigan Army National Guard. He has two combat deployments (Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom) and a non-combat deployment in support of Operation Noble Eagle. Oversees training assignment locations include: Egypt, Philippines, Japan, Latvia, and Panama. Additionally, he has participated in two humanitarian relief missions in response to natural disasters.
