Brigadier General Steven C. Warren
Brig. Gen. Steven C. Warren is the Assistant Adjutant General, Headquarters, South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He is responsible to the Adjutant General for the operational readiness of the South Dakota Air National Guard and the unit's ability to perform its federal and state missions.
General Warren was commissioned in 1982 as a Second Lieutenant (Biomedical Sciences Corps) in the United States Air Force. Prior to receiving his commission, General Warren enlisted into the South Dakota Air National Guard in 1977, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He moved to the Air Force Reserve in 1990. In 1993, he completed the full circle by returning to the South Dakota Air National Guard. General Warren assumed the position of Chief of Staff in October 2014 and moved to his current position as Assistant Adjutant General in May 2016.
