ADDENDUM TO RESUME OF SERVICE CAREER
CAREER OCCUPATION Deputy Adjutant General, Army, California Army National Guard (State Active Duty)
NATURE, SCOPE AND EXTENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Adjutant General, who delegates authority for the accomplishment of day-to-day operations within the California Army National Guard. Only unusually difficult problems are referred to the Adjutant General or Assistant Adjutant General for further guidance and decision. Performance is evaluated by the Adjutant General as well as higher headquarters through personal observation and review of reports of audits, inspections and staff visits. Guidelines consist of established policies of the Adjutant General, together with State directives and applicable Department of Defense directives.
Acts as the full-time executive assistant to the Adjutant General, with a broad delegation of authority in exercising the required functions of his office. Acts in the absence of and for the Adjutant General of Assistant Adjutant General in all matters. Coordinates the administrative, personnel, training, logistical, maintenance and public affairs activities within the state and nation for the California Army National Guard.
Acts as a representative of the Adjutant General to conduct a continuous review of activities to ensure that administrative, personnel, training, logistics, maintenance and public affairs functions are being performed efficiently and in accordance with current policies and directives.
