US Army National Guardsmen of the 42nd Infantry Division team up with New York City’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Red Cross, to provide food, water, and cleaning supplies to Hurricane Sandy victims at distribution sites in Far Rockaway, N.Y. Soldiers and volunteers delivered over 10,000 Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), and more than 10,000 comfort kits to families in the community. Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic Hurricane on record and caused the most damage in New York and New Jersey Oct. 29, 2012. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Julian T.
