Soldiers of the 247th Composite Supply Company, 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, arrived at the Cyril E. King Airport on Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Sept. 28, 2017, to support the 602nd Area Support Medical Company in disaster relief efforts after Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense conducts Defense Support of Civil Authorities operations to assist civilian responders in saving lives, relieving human suffering and mitigating property damage in response to catastrophic disaster.
