Rare and Vulnerable Vegetation on the Western Range
Space Launch Delta 30
April 22, 2021 | 3:09
Discover the rare Vandenberg Monkey Flower and Manzanitas.
These plants are so rare and limited-in-range that the names Vandenberg Monkey Flower and the Yerba Santa really fit.
The Air Force is working hard to ensure that these rare and endangered plants can continue to persist in these sand-patch habitats.
These vulnerable species only occur in such small numbers on Vandenberg and the limited area near the base.
