Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment participate in a dismounted patrol exercise Feb. 6 on the ranges of Fort Hood as part of Pegasus Forge IV. All of the 1st Cavalry Division's 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team "BlackJack" is participating in the exercise in preparation for their rotation at the National Training Center later this Spring and any subsequent follow on missions.
