SCRIPT:
Did you know that your work as a Sailor can help you earn an Associate Degree through the U.S. Naval Community College?
Hello everyone, I’m Lena Burns with some News You Can Use!
The U-S-N-C-C covers tuition costs, course fees and digital textbooks for junior enlisted Sailors to attend a 60-credit associate degree program.
The program includes a 5-course Naval studies certificate, a professional certificate in one of seven planned areas of study and general education courses to complete an associate degree.
And that’s a degree that is transferable to any of the U-S-N-C-C partner colleges.
Right now the U.S. Naval Community College is finishing up Pilot One and is using feedback from the students to prepare for its Pilot two stage. Sailors can enroll for Pilot TWO starting October 1ST until October 31ST, with courses starting in January 2022.
What makes this community college different is that it provides a naval-relevant associate degree for today's enlisted leader.
For more information about this program, check out the website at the bottom of your screen and click on the student interest form tab.
And for more news you can use, continue to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube."
