"The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band
Aug. 15, 2013 | 8:05
Marine Band Master Gunnery Sgt. Michael Ressler has served as a euphonium player, librarian, chief librarian, support staff section commander, and, from 2008-13, the band's first-ever historian. He joined the Marine Band on July 29, 1974. Upon retirement, he will have served 39 years, 1 month, and three days on active duty, making him the most senior enlisted active duty Marine by time-in-service in the United States Marine Corps.
