40th Helicopter Squadron tests transport capability through multi-unit operation
341st Missile Wing
May 22, 2024 | 11:38
Airmen of the 40th Helicopter Squadron work with the aircrew of a Dover Air Force Base C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft to load and transport a UH-1N Huey helicopter to Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, May 22, 2024. The Huey was loaded onto the C-5 at the Montana Air National Guard Base, and promptly flown to Offutt AFB. The Huey was unloaded upon arrival and flown around the immediate area. After 12 hours of crew rest, the helicopter was loaded back onto the C-5 and transported back to the MANG, where it was unloaded and flown back to Malmstrom Air Force Base.
