If you have children or visiting family members coming to Korea, CPL Choi, Min Yong shares some useful information.

Families and visitors shopping at the exchange or commissary while in Korea need to have a Ration Control Card to enter the facilities or purchase goods.

Some things to take note in regard to dependents under the age of 21. Family members under the age of 10 are authorized access to the duty free facilities without a Ration Control Card or ID card however if they wish to purchase, it is necessary that they have a Ration Control Card and ID card.
Reporter:
Children over the age of 10 must have both a Ration Control Card and an ID card to enter the Exchange or DECA.

Visiting family members or newly arrived dependents of military and civilian personnel have access to the commissary and AFES facility for 30 days after their arrival in the country, they must produce an ID card and a copy of their sponsor’s orders in order to acquire a Ration Control Card.
