The National Guard delivered for the nation throughout April, supporting homeland response, strengthening warfighting capability, and reinforcing partnerships with allies and partner nations worldwide. Guard members supported NASA Artemis II with contingency search and rescue coverage, demonstrated lethality and tactical proficiency during Infantry Week 2026 at Fort Benning, and marked a historic milestone with the activation of Utah’s first light infantry battalion in more than a century.
