Idaho physicians assistant keeps Soldiers healthy

Boise, Idaho - Army Capt. Derek Derkacs, an aeromedical physician assistant with the Idaho Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 183d Aviation Regiment, looks at the wrist of a Cambodian military member during a training event with Cambodian forces. Derkacs initially planned on becoming a dietician, but a trip to the emergency room made him look into the physician assistant field.
