Brigadier General Dana B. Demand is the commander of the New York Air National Guard's 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, New York, the only C-5 equipped strategic airlift organization in the Air National Guard. He directs the deployment and employment of assigned personnel and equipment and is responsible for the combat readiness of assigned units by reviewing training programs and ensuring availability of necessary equipment, supplies and facilities.
General Demand received his commission in June 1970 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. He is a command pilot with more than 6,500 flying hours.
