Major General Kenneth R. Clark assumed duties as the Adjutant General, New Hampshire National Guard on December 12, 2004. General Clark serves as Military Chief of Staff to the Governor and is the Executive Head of the Adjutant General's Department. As Adjutant General, he oversees all aspects of the Adjutant General's Department, which includes Army and Air National Guard and the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery.
The general began his military career by enlisting in the New Hampshire Air National Guard in May of 1968. Following completion of basic training, he received a direct commission in February 1969. He is the first member of the New Hampshire Air Guard to become the wing commander from a Guard only background. He is a command pilot with more than 5,000 flying hours.
