BRIGADIER GENERAL JOHN A. BATHKE

 

Assistant Adjutant General - Operations

Brigadier General John A. Bathke assumed duties at the Assistant Adjutant General - Operations, Minnesota Army National Guard, State Area Command on 1 May 2000. As the Assistant Adjutant General, he is chief advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to Army National Guard operations, training and readiness.

The General's military career began when he enlisted into the National Guard on 29 December 1965. He was commission through the state officer candidate school as a signal officer in June 1968. Prior to his present assignment, General Bathke served as the Director, Plans Operations and Training, State Area Command. In that capacity, General Bathke was responsible for operation, training guidance and support to the Minnesota Army National Guard.
